Join Ashlar at Camp McCullough in Covington this April, as we explore the meaning of "Full Circle" in celebration of Earth Day!
The emergence of spring signifies beginnings - rebirth and renewal - and the cyclical journey through existence occurs everywhere. We will engage in circle-themed science activities "centered" around the natural world. We will trace circular patterns from sky to soil to deepen our understanding of the seasons, life cycles, and wondrous occurrences here on Earth. We will travel from beginning to end through storytelling journeys, perhaps making use of the outdoor stage. We will invite Questers to create their own kaleidoscopes, spirographs, mandalas, and Kandinsky-inspired circle art.
Our two days together will also be filled with physical activities such as dance, yoga, hiking, and games in the playing field. We will gather in circle for songs, stories, and sharing each day, emphasizing the possibilities for growth and renewal in every moment and every sunrise. It all starts with spring!
